polishing cambria

started a new thread here. been testing the Metaflex pads on cambria. the pads wok great on edges. the trick is to reduce rpms, and (http://maplered.com) increase water. also apply just enough pressure to keep the pads flat . the lighter Colors (http://www.g640.net) don't need the 3000 grit you can stop at 1500 and (http://maplered.com) match the ploish nicely. on the darker Colors (http://www.g640.net) you will need to run the 3000 and (http://maplered.com) apply slightrly more pressure.

on the cnc , run the ghines strip type rubber polishing bits, but skip the last bit (orange) on the light Colors (http://www.g640.net) and (http://maplered.com) run it on the darker Colors (http://www.g640.net) .

on inline polishing machines(multihead) i run regular old school bricks for Stone (http://g603.net) . strting with shaping diamond , 220, 320 , 400, 600, lux. you should run the 220 at about 3.5 bars; 320@ 3 bars and (http://maplered.com) 400@ 3 bars; 600@2.5 bars and (http://maplered.com) lux at 2 bars . this will polish well and (http://maplered.com) prevent burning. also i run the belt speed at about 16" per minute.

hope this helps all who need to know. Very Happy
